Our buds in Switchfoot won a Grammy for Hello Hurricane, RunnerRunner released their new CD, and Angels and Airwaves totally blew up the Santa Barbara Film Festival with LOVE. These guys know how to share the love and they’ve always got our backs. It’s great to see them achieving their goals too and there is nothing better than knowing it’s because they believed in something.
Like us. ;)
We still have our Angels and Airwaves and Runner Runner collab shirts available in our store (as well as our rubber bracelets too!), please hit up our website and get one or two or a dozen if you haven’t yet; those shirts go to the respective charities of Open Your Heart and the Childrens’ Hospital of Orange County. We just recently got a Thank-You letter from OYH, be sure to stop on over and check it out to learn more about this awesome cause and how our shirts have helped out.
Voting for the 2011 Animal Rescue Site Challenge is STILL underway, and if you know our sweet bro ATOM Willard, you know he’s a huge champion of the French Bulldog Rescue Network out of Massachusetts. They’re ranking number 5 right now out of the state for this challenge, down from #3 from last week but with your daily vote we can easily kick them back up to the top. When asked for the shelter name, pop in “French Bulldog Rescue Network” and select MA under state. There’s no sign-up needed and you can cast one vote per day. Please help out!
We’ve moved our Facebook page, also! We’re now under Believe In Something over there, too, so please be sure to like it, share your BiS pictures with us, and get others involved.
As for getting others involved, we need your help here on Tumblr too! We’re going to start pushing our Tumblr Tuesday rec requests, and there’s nothing better than seeing our blog up at the top of that page for non-profits. It really makes us smile to know that our followers are doing what they can to get us up and out there!

Rules should be going out today if you’re participating, spectators always welcome! We hope to have a couple of San Diego Chargers on hand to support the HOC as they play it all out for Pancreatic Cancer Research

We also want to take a second to thank Atom Willard (of Angels and Airwaves) and Chad Butler (of Switchfoot) and friends in The Foo Fighters for donating some well needed drums to poor schools in Nicaragua. HOC member Casey Morgan is currently out there serving in the Peace Corps with his wife, Nicole. He brought to our attention there are many talented musicians with no instruments. The schools hold an annual music concert and we wanted to help out. You all know our love for music – no one should be denied the opportunity to play. Stoked we can help! I know Atom and Chad both thanked us multiple times for giving them the chance to be involved. Ha – they’re actually thanking us? Those dudes rule!!

It’s hard to believe that these shirts are still available, these and the AvA ones. Runner Runner’s a pretty awesome group of guys and I know I’m excited for their upcoming album.
The “charity” they’ve chosen for this shirt is the Children’s Hospital of Orange County and boy, they’re all about physical education and illness/injury prevention for children and helping families in their times of medical need (and considering the still-healing state of insurance in this country, that’s a HUGE, COMMON issue) I think that’s fantastic. It would be even cooler to see a huge amount of proceeds coming from Believe In Something and Runner Runner just as their album is hitting the shelf.
If you’ve got a few extra bucks and are looking to get a new t-shirt do make this one your choice.
So this showed up in our Tracked Tags just now and we have to say Thank You! And yes, both the Runner Runner shirts and AvA shirts are still available in our shop — We were just tweeting about this!
